Action de Grâces - Thanksgiving

Healthy Thanksgiving

It should have been a turkey, but with all the wild turkeys in the neighbourhood, I sort of shied away.

Palette d'automne

I needed to replicate the fall colours in my plate.

Breaking the Thanksgiving Tradition: Pot au feu (Boiled Dinner)

Or, boiled dinner. Don't forget to put cold water in the pan with the beef, then to put the heat on. The meat will be more tender.

Giving Thanks For The Harvest

What about the veggies? I start with 2 or 3 onions and 2 leeks. I skim the broth then I add the turnips, the carrots, the parsnips. I could add some potatoes, but I don't really like them. About 45 minutes later, I add the cabbage then, at the last minute, the green beans.

Thanksgiving Dinner

Deo gratias!
Lovely fall colours. And the added bonus is that I won't have to cook a thing all week. Thank God!
